2008 Skier’s Edge Eastern Regional Championships All details
are falling into place for the 2008 Skier’s Edge Eastern Masters
Championships scheduled for March 6-9 at Lake Placid New York. All the events will be held on the
world-class Draper’s Drop with the course-sets and lengths appropriate for
the masters. As an added bonus most of the USST will be on hand in order to
train for the NorAm Finals, which will take place the following week on the
same venues. Masters will be able to see early morning training, and USST
members may forerun the masters events. The events will include a
dazzling array of awards, raffle items, and prizes. In addition to the USSA
medals presented to class winners, group (A, B, C, D) winners will receive
awards each day, as well as those who earn class medals in any race over the
weekend. The multitude of prizes for the raffles that will take place at the
awards’ parties will make everyone a winner. The awards parties will take
place at Wise Guys in downtown Lake Placid following the races on Friday and
Saturday, and the Sunday post-race awards will be hosted by NYSEF at their
Training Center. Discounted lodging is available
at the Wildwood Motel, owned and operated by Horst Weber and his family. The
