| Passing Eric Martin, 50, a former Masters racer and founder of City Sports, died of cancer on Monday September 10. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and many friends. Gary Colwell, Executive Director of New England Masters, “I'm shocked and saddened. Eric came back and raced with us after many years away from ski racing. He was very enthusiastic and actually got quite good. He just loved skiing and ski racing and always, and I mean always, had a smile on his face whenever I saw him on the slopes skiing.” A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sept. 22 in Cashman Park in Newburyport.
