George Anderson, Masters Racer Extraordinaire, Passes Away Suddenly and Unexpectedly Longtime Masters Racer George Anderson suffered a seizure early Sunday evening while conversing with friends in Pittsfield, Vermont. Paramedics called to the home of Nadine Price were unable to revive him and he was pronounced dead a short time later. George had raced in both Middlebury races with good results and had no apparent problems according to many who had spoken and socialized with him. George, besides his racing abilities and genuine likeability, was also known as "The Bearer of the Parkas", especially among the women and older men. He will be sorely missed. George's wife Nicole has informed us that funeral services are scheduled at Flinch & Burns Funeral Home, 34 Hempstead Avenue, Lynbrook, NY 11563, Friday January 25. Calling hours are 2-4 and 7-9. George’s ashes will be brought back to Vermont where a separate service will be held at Mount Snow at a later date, yet to be determined. |
