GateCrashers - Waterville Valley: Gatecrashers, now in it's 9th year, is back to training on Mondays and Wednesdays. Monday's format will be GS and it will be a coached practice. The practice will run from 10:00 AM to Noon and as in the past will be on a variety of trails. We make sure to keep you posted via email on what trail the practice will be on as well as any schedule information and Après training recaps. Wednesday is a bonus day for us this year and will offer a combination of training opportunities. We may run drills on one day, set SL with a coach on another day, perhaps a bit of both, and all to be followed up with timed runs through the NASTAR course at noon. As in the past, Gatecrasher participants can run the Wednesday NASTAR course with no additional charge.  The price for the season pass with Gatecrashers is $125 and the daily rate is $20 (lift ticket extra). Training should get under way in December so don't hesitate.  For more information contact Gary LaJoie at Gatecrashers@roadrunner.com or at 603-536-1602

Personal Training

Steve Victorson, Carolyn Beckedorff's trainer, is opening up his own fitness and training center in Boxborough, MA in September. He will continue to work with the Burdenko Institue in Bedford two days a week, but is looking for new clients up in the Boxborough area. As it is not far from Wachusett and Nashoba, some of the New England Masters racers in that area may be interested in the services he has to offer. Steve worked as a trainer for the US Ski Team for 4 years prior to joining Burdenko. Steve has been working with Carolyn since 1999, helping her achieve her overall fitness goals and specifically ski racing goals, using a very intense, time efficient workout program focused on overall body movement, strength, flexibility, mental focus and endurance. His programs are a combination of dryland workouts and pool workouts. Anyone interested in learning more about his programs can call him directly at: 617-699-4269 or e-mail him at: steve at harvardridge.com. If anyone wants to talk to Carolyn about Steve's programs, they can e-mail her at cab at baupost.com.
