Farnham Glacier High Performance & Speed Camp - Michel Pratte - July 2007 - limited to 16 racers
Mt. Tremblant 2007 Masters Training Promotion - Dave Strang comments "I and several other Masters racers from New England and New York attended the December Pratte camp at Tremblant and found it to be well worth the price. Given the paucity of snow all over the Northeast, they did an excellent job giving us hill space. Michel himself was our coach and was superb. I would highly recommend any of his camps and plan on going back next year."

Mount Bachelor Alpine Masters Program - A number of the New England Masters have been asking me what I have been doing and may be interested in the attached article about the Masters program at Mt Bachelor in Oregon that I have been in. We train in the gates from nine to twelve or later five days a week; the people are congenial, the coaching is excellent, the cost is reasonable, and the mountain has a large number of good trails for free skiing. Accommodations are in Bend; I stay at and like the Mill Inn Bed and Breakfast in Bend, which is clean, comfortable and reasonable (541 389-9198). Regards, Bob Butler
Training offered by Brandon Dyksterhouse - check out www.dstyleracing.com
Symmetry in Motion by Poulin Performance - The purpose of Symmetry in Motion is to create balanced, injury free skiers. For decades ski coaches and instructors have been aware of differences from one turn to the other. This difference was always put down to strength alone, but now we are able to see how musculo-skeletal alignment affects skiing and sets us up for asymmetrical strength development in very specific patterns. Click here for details.
Middlebury Snow Bowl - For further information about master's training events offered by The Middlebury Ski Club, please visit our newly launched website at www.middskiclub.org. We'll be adding a special link on the home page specifically for masters to go directly to the masters training page. By visiting the "programs" page you will see that there is also a series of Friday morning gate training sessions available and other training upon request throughout the season. Steve Victorson, Carolyn Beckedorff's trainer, is opening up his own fitness and training center in Boxborough, MA in September. He will continue to work with the Burdenko Institue in Bedford two days a week, but is looking for new clients up in the Boxborough area. As it is not far from Wachusett and Nashoba, some of the New England Masters racers in that area may be interested in the services he has to offer. Steve worked as a trainer for the US Ski Team for 4 years prior to joining Burdenko. Steve has been working with Carolyn since 1999, helping her achieve her overall fitness goals and specifically ski racing goals, using a very intense, time efficient workout program focused on overall body movement, strength, flexibility, mental focus and endurance. His programs are a combination of dryland workouts and pool workouts. Anyone interested in learning more about his programs can call him directly at: 617-699-4269 or e-mail him at: steve@harvardridge.com. If anyone wants to talk to Carolyn about Steve's programs, they can e-mail her at cab at baupost.com.
