Volkl Race Stock Skis

Please use this forum to post For Sale/Wanted items. Stuff that's truly a bargain sells very quickly. If it doesn't sell, you're probably asking too much!
PLEASE BE AWARE: As with any public internet market, buy and sell at your own risk. Never give your bank account number, social security number, or credit card number, over the phone or in an e-mail. To protect yourself, whether buying or selling, consider using a payment service such as http://www.PayPal.com, to process the transaction. Anything other than a simple transaction, where a buyer pays the seller the exact sales price in exchange for the offered merchandise, should raise suspicion. Volkl Race Stock Skis

Post by alpine5 » Thu Dec 17, 2020 10:57 pm

The following 7 Volkl Race Sock skis are being put up for sale. Granted they are all old models, the latest being one of the '13 stock, but they were maintained well in house thru the '16 season and since have been tuned using the World Cup Montana, Switzerland machine at Geunther's Ski Shop near Elk Mountain, PA. From what I was informed, this machine is only one of two in the East that can give a world cup race grind. This seller agrees with owners of this machine that you can not get a flatter base, a sharper edge regardless of bevel, and a finer base structure than what this machine can produce. Along with the tuning work, this seller asked the shop to complete the time consuming task of removing the previous flouro waxes that remain in the bases. The high degree of shop maintenance time over the last couple of years is the reason for the asking prices being higher than the skis' age value. The 2 GS and 2 SL tech skis are still really good for slip skis on race day, running training courses or just all mountain skis. The DH and 2 SG speed boards are still in good shape for Master and Senior speed events or just making downhill runs on your home mountain.

The following 2 Volkl women's FIS skis are also being put up for sale. They were both purchased for the '17 season when USSA adopted the FIS ski regulations for one year. The GS skis ran 9 races that year. The SG boards were never used in a race course, only a handful of free runs. They were both tuned in the Montana WC ski machine before the following ('18) season but have not been used since that last tune. The general consensus is that the skis are fast but they don't want to turn. I agree. That is why the seller would like to have the prospective buyer try the skis first before settling on a price if it is decided to keep the skis. These skis are best for any junior or college age girl looking to run her first FIS GS or SG, but is unsure of spending for a full setup for possibly only one FIS race.
